COOKING UP A TREAT
Regan Anderton attended a Successful Mums 6 week Business Start-up Course in partnership with Orpington 1st. Regan took this step once she decided to start her own cookery school in West Wickham. Having worked in the marketing industry for over 16 years, Regan has always had a passion for food, from being a food blogger at www.whatiatelastnight.com, food editor for LIFE magazines and having previously ran food stalls at Greenwich market.
After having her son two and a half years ago she was aware that many mums struggled with cooking fresh, nutritious food for their family and was inspired to set up The Cooking Shed.
Successful Mums has given me the confidence, skills and foundations that I need to start my own business. From writing a business plan, believing in myself and offering a support network of other mums who are going through the same thing, to allowing me to learn from others mistakes and successes by introducing me to other mums who have started and are now running their own successful businesses, the whole experience has been invaluable.
Regan is looking forward to working and supporting local business and producers by using locally produced food and running skills based classes to the public with a mixture of adult only classes such as bread making and how to cook the perfect steak and children/adult classes.
